Twtpoll has added 3 more types of questions to its polls and web surveys. Users can now create location-based questions by just entering the addresses. Twtpoll automatically embeds the map with each location.
Once again, this suggestion came from a few of our Twtvite users. Before organizing a Tweetup, sometimes they want to conduct a poll so people can vote on their favorite venue.
We’re sure you will find other uses for these questions, so let us know what you think!
We’re constantly making changes to Twtpoll (and our other apps) based on the feedback we get from our users.
So, we’re like to announce a couple of small changes (but very important for some users) and we hope many of you will find it useful for your needs!
1) Image/Video questions
Often times you need to ask a multiple choice, rating, short answer question about an image or video. You can now include it right before the answer choices.
Sometimes you want to run a poll for a few hours or know exactly when it will no longer be available. Now you can set the exact date and time for your Twtpoll or TwtSurvey to close. You will find this option when creating a new poll or survey.
Twtpollhas launched a premium version of its service a few months ago. You can now create a TwtSurvey for FREE to make sure this is the right solution for your needs. Each account is allowed to created one web survey and collect up to 20 responses.
If you do decide to upgrade, it cost a one-time fee of $49 for Unlimited Surveys + Unlimited Questions + Unlimited Responses! Here are some of the features:
Public or private results
16 different types of questions
Collect names, emails, phone numbers or Twitter accounts
Filter results by demographics
Integrate it with TwtQpon, TwtAway or Twtvite for promotions
Check out our quick demo video below. And click here for more information, here to upgrade your account, or here to create a web survey!
PS: Web surveys created with TwtSurvey can be shared on Twitter, Facebook, Google Buzz or via email. The votes are recorded anonymously and they do NOT need to have a Twitter account.
We’d like to thank all of our users for the feedback in this past year. Twtpoll is almost one year old and we have made significant improvements thanks to you all! We would like to share with you some stats and give some thanks to some of our top users.
We’re giving FREE Branding + FREE Web Survey Upgrade + FREE 50K Sponsorship Impressions to the top 3 in each of the following categories. And we’re selecting 3 more from the top 10 (and whoever else enters the Twitter Contest) on Dec 25.
PS: We only took into consideration polls which only one vote per person was allowed.
We’re constantly making small changes and improvements to Twtpoll (and our other Twtapps), so you might notice different things every now and then. Here’s a list of the latest small changes:
Search
We used to have a tab for “My Twtpolls” where you could search for polls created by a Twitter users. Now you can use the regular search bar. If you search for “twtpoll” you will find the polls with the term in the question. If you search for “@twtpoll” you will find all of the polls created by that @user.
Poll details
When you search or browse through the latest/most popular polls, you can see how many votes they’ve had, number of comments and number of Tweets.
Tweets Search
Last but not least, we have improved our tweets search to include shorturl links to your Twtpolls. Often times, people use shorturl services such as bit.ly, tinyurl, etc to link to your polls. Some of these tweets get RT and we didn’t use to register them as Tweets. Now we do. :)
Stay tuned for more updates. As always, we really appreciate all the feedback and we thank very much our users who take the time to write to us with suggestions/comments.
Twtvite releases today the option to embed a Twtpoll directly on your Twtvite. Many people have been using Twtpoll to decide what dates/venues they should use for their Tweetup, as well as the reason why they’re coming and what they thought about it.
In order to include a Twtpoll, you must be an organizer of the Tweetup and sign in to Twtvite using your Twitter credentials (via oAuth).
After you’re signed in, you can just go to your Twtvite page (a quick way to get there is by clicking on “My Twtvite”, which will display all upcoming Tweetups you’re organizing and/or have RSVP’ed.
Once on your Tweetup’s page, you will notice that you have direct links to edit it, update RSVPs, or cancel it.
In order to include a Twtpoll, you will see on the right side on the page (below the list of RSVPs) a place to include the URL to your Twtpoll (not the embed code - just the URL: http://twtpoll.com/code). This is also where the Twtpoll will show up.
Twtpoll is a simple and powerful tool to create online polls and share them on Twitter/Facebook. Many businesses and blogers have been using Twtpoll to get feedback about their products/services or about a particular subject.
Twtpoll has now released TwtSurvey, which allows you to create public or private online surveys. You can choose from 17 types of questions and add some demographic questions, which you can then filter the results.
Twtpoll is the largest Twitter polling application and we have already recorded over 1.6 million responses in the past 6 months. We’re going to be running an experiment this week with a new feature and we’d love to get your opinion about it.
We have added another sponsorship opportunity (besides branded Twtpolls). For those of you new to Twtpoll, here’s some info about Branded Twtpolls.
Branded Twtpoll
You can customize all of your polls based on your Twitter profile (summary, background and color scheme) as in the example below.
There’s no fixed cost associated with this. We want to give our users the freedom to choose how much they think this might be worth to them. So, you pay what you want!
Sponsor Twtpoll
Now you can add your Twitter profile summary to different Twtpolls (when allowed by the poll creator) as in the example below.
On average, you can acquire 100 new followers per 10K impressions. Click here to set it up. You can also brand your Twtpoll and get 1K impressions to try it out!
We’re very interested to know what you think about this new feature. Please take our Twtpoll below and send us your comments to @twtpoll:
How NOT to display it on my Twtpolls?
If you prefer not to display Sponsored Twitter profiles on your Twtpolls. There are a couple of ways to do that:
(1) By branding your Twtpolls. When you brand your Twtpoll only your profile will be displayed on the polls you create (and you get 1K Sponsor Twtpoll impressions).
(2) You can disable it all together. No fees. Just sign in with your Twitter account and go to Sponsorship Settings and Stats.
Twtpoll has added four more types of questions to its list of possible Twtpolls you can create. Now if you want to compare Twitter users, all you have to do is to enter their Twitter names in the answer choices. Twtpoll will get their avatar, description, number of followers and followings, link and display as answer choices.
There are four types of Twitter users questions: Multiple choice (one answer), multiple choice (more than one answer), rating and ranking.
For example, we create a Twtpoll for you to rank our Twtapps. All we had to do was to enter the list of the Twtapps’ Twitter accounts.
Last week Twtpoll releases 13 new types of questions. Some of them were from the many requests by our awesome users and some were part of the direction Twtpoll is going (so stay tuned for many more changes soon!)
Among the most requested options were the following:
(1) Addition of a text field for “Other” option
(2) Image multiple choice (and then we added 2 other image related types: ranking and scale rating)
(3) Ranking
You can find the complete list of questions here and try them out here. Simply choose the type of question when creating your Twtpoll.
As alwyas, please give us feedback and let us know what we can do for you!
