Twitters can now meet interesting Twits as they travel - The new TwtTRIP!
August 2nd, 2009

Twtapps is re-launching TwtTRIP with many features to help all traveling twits out there. You can create your Twitter Travel page, from where you can share all of your upcoming trips.
Your followers (or even non-twits) can see all of your updates as it happens! We get all of your tweets during the time you’re traveling, separate the pictures from them and add all that to your Twitter Travel Page.

Besides sharing your travel experiences, TwtTRIP can help you to connect with others traveling Twits who are going to or live at your destination. We automatically match your travel plans with those of other travelers, and people who are willing to host a traveler or meet up for coffee or drinks. After all, the best way to experience a place is meeting locals, right?
TwtTRIP also displays any Tweetups happening at your destination (via Twtvite).
If you have been using TwtTRIP on your travels, we hope you like the changes and that you will be able to make interesting connections on your next trip!
As always, please let us know what you think and if you have any suggestions.

Five Changes to Twtvite (We hope you like them!)
June 12th, 2009
This week we rolled out some changes to Twtvite, as you may have noticed.
The first change to the site as a whole is the Support/FAQ page. This will help explaining a little about what Twtvite is and what you can do with it; how to do it; and why you should use Twtvite. This page was created based on some questions we received from people using the site for the firt time.
Change #1
The major change to the site is the way you RSVP now. You no longer have to tweet your RSVP. We use Twitter oAuth authentication to verify the Twitter account answering to a Twtvite.
The reasons for this change were: (1) We had some users who didn’t like the idea of “having to tweet” in order to RSVP to an event, also when a lot of your followers would RSVP to the same event (or others) it would look “spammy” in some people’s stream. (2) Twitter Search has become very unreliable, skipping updates from some people all together, also it was a chanllege for people who choose to have their updates protected.
Change #2
You now have a vanity url that will display all of your Upcoming Tweetups (that you’re organizing or attending) and your Past Tweetups. This page can also be branded with your Twitter profile info (see example).

Change #3
When you’re looking at the list of people who are attending a Tweetup, at the More Info option, we added information about other Tweetups each person is also attending.
(While you’re there, be sure to check out the Print name tags option)

Change #4
The way you manage and update your Tweetups has also changed. There is NO hidden admin url for a Twtvite. You simply go to My Twtvite (link on the top right of the page). You will find information about your Upcoming Tweetups, Past Tweetups and RSVPs (and be able to edit/cancel tweetups you created, and modify your RSVPs.

Change #5
Twtvite now has a light version for mobile devices. Simply go to http://twtvite.com from your mobile device. :)

Those are all of the changes for now. As always, please keep giving us feedback!

Join Tweetups when you travel
February 2nd, 2009

Twtapps announces today the integration of part of twtvite and twtTRIP.
Twtvite is about creating simple tweetups and managing its RSVPs, while twtTRIP is about sharing your travel plans with your followers. Well, the best way to travel is to be able to connect with locals… so why not join local tweetups at your destination?
So, when you create a twtvite, you now have the option to make it available to twtTRIP users. Besides that, there are a couple of other changes to twtvite too: You can add a Google map with the tweetup location, choose between making it public/private, and search for tweetups in your city!

On the twtTRIP side, when you add your travel plans, besides matching other tweeple traveling to the same destination, it will now show local tweetups for the time that you will be there.

We appreciate all the feedback so far. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions/comments/suggestions.

TwtTRIP’s twitter account is @twtrip (-t)
January 29th, 2009
In case you’re wondering… We couldn’t create a @twtTrip account on Twitter because (for some reason) they don’t allow “twttr” sequence in the username…

So, that’s why it seems like we missed a “T” @ our Twitter name… Hopefully this won’t be too confusing… :)
